AXA: The Shotton Family Disaster
The Shotton Family Disaster
I directed and shot this sponsored drama/doc on a Red One and it was like working with a wall safe. Fully rigged it weighed about as much as a wall safe. Initially it was as intuitive as a wall safe to use. And was as effective as a wall safe in low light. That’s not to say I didn’t enjoy the experience though. The images from it looked amazing to me and the effort of manoeuvring it between setups focused my mind on what was essential to get vs nice to have.
This camera made a huge impact when it launched. But when I think how far cameras have developed in such a short amount of time since then, my head spins.
